Adventure into Dance!
This winter break, adventure into dance through four distinct fantastical worlds brought to life by some of classical music’s greatest storytellers. Each day, campers will adventure into a different orchestral work—meeting curious creatures, larger-than-life characters, magical forests, and unexpected adventures along the way. Through dance, design, and creative exploration, young artists will discover how music can suggest a character, set a scene, tell a story, and inspire choreography that brings it all to life. Schedule & ThemesTuesday "Carnival of the Animals": ages 4-6
Roar, flutter, leap, and glide through a musical menagerie as we bring an array of carnival creatures to life through movement and music. Wednesday "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland": ages 4-6 Tumble down the rabbit hole into a topsy-turvy world where curious characters, surprising encounters, and a little nonsense inspire new adventures in movement. Thursday "A Midsummer Night's Dream": ages 4-6 Follow the fairies into an enchanted forest where mischief, magic, and mistaken identities set everyone—and everything—in motion. Friday "Peter and the Wolf": ages 4-6 Meet a brave young adventurer and an unforgettable cast of creatures as we explore how instruments, characters, and movement come together to tell a story. |
