HOW TO WARM UP FOR REHEARSALS
Warming up before rehearsals is best practice for all dancers and absolutely essential to the safety of dancers involved in more advanced work. Dancers ages 8+ must warm up before rehearsal if they will not already have had class on Saturday. Here's how:​

Daily Vitamins for Dancers Series: Recorded during the pandemic, this series guides dancers through snippets of classes, which are labeled by age to help you choose those well-suited to your dancer.

Essential Exercises for Dancers: PT-based exercises recorded to help dancers refine strength and flexibility. They are best suited for dancers ages 9+ who have already been introduced to them in class.

Mother's Dance Details: 
We typically pull performer's from our adult Ballet classes on Monday evening and Tuesday morning because we only teach Mother's Dance choreography during the 10-15min following classes each week in Nov and Dec. If you're interested in trying a ballet class, let us know! We're also happy to welcome experienced dancers who can come in to learn the dance during this timeframe and join full cast rehearsals. ​

​Nutcracker Art Auction & Poster Contest
Submission Dates: Art for the auction should be submitted by Wednesday, Nov 19.

Event Date/Time: The Silent Auction will run during Parents Night on Friday, Nov 21 from 8:00-10:00pm.

What: To benefit artistic expenses for our 12th Nutcracker Season, we're happy once again to celebrate the magic of the production with our 3rd annual Nutcracker Art Auction. We'll be accepting commemorative art through Wednesday, Nov 19th, but all art received by Friday, Nov 7th will be entered into our 10th Anniversary Poster contest. We encourage submissions by artists young and old(er). The winning art will be featured both on this year's Nutcracker poster and postcards.

To Enter: Please use a canvas, heavy weight paper, or material other than loose-leaf or printer paper. We’ll need a brief bio for each artist as well as a suggested starting bid. We’re also hoping for permission to print art in a commemorative book and on thank you cards (not for resale). Drop all art off at the studio with the artist’s name.

Nutcracker PJ Party Fundraiser: Wait List Only
Date: Saturday, Nov 15
Time: 6:30-9:30pm
What: Pizza, a Nutcracker film viewing, craft, games, dancing & karaoke. PJs, pillows, and blankets are welcome and encouraged! Proceeds go directly towards sets and props for our 10th Anniversary Nutcracker. Limited Spots Available. Unregistered drop-offs--or late registries--may be turned away based on capacity. $42 for single child registration, $67 for 2-sibling registration.
