HOW TO WARM UP FOR REHEARSALS
Warming up before rehearsals is best practice for all dancers and absolutely essential to the safety of dancers involved in more advanced work. Dancers ages 8+ must warm up before rehearsal if they will not already have had class on Saturday. Here's how:

Daily Vitamins for Dancers Series: Recorded during the pandemic, this series guides dancers through snippets of classes, which are labeled by age to help you choose those well-suited to your dancer.

Essential Exercises for Dancers: PT-based exercises recorded to help dancers refine strength and flexibility. They are best suited for dancers ages 9+ who have already been introduced to them in class.

The Insider's Scoop...

Ticket Now Available via Ticket Leap

Tickets Here

Dancers with perfect rehearsal attendance are eligible for one comp ticket, which is typically passed out at the end of the Spacing Rehearsal.

Please contact us now if your dancer is in both shows and should have perfect rehearsal attendence to let us know which show you would like your comp ticket for.

Parents who volunteer to work Wardrobe, Box Office & Boutique, Raffle & Bake Sale, assist with Load-in/Load-out and supervise kids in between shows can earn themselves a comp ticket for the show they work.

  • Loading the U-Haul, Loading into Venue, & Set-up--Friday, Dec 12 (starts 2:30pm at the studio and ends 9:00pm at the venue). Many of the set pieces will be lightweight, but we practically empty the basement into the U-Haul and that takes hours if we don't have enough help. The more the merrier (and easier the job for each person)!
  • Wardrobe--Help with costume steaming, dressing room set-up, and assistance for the Wardrobe Supervisor. Looking for help as early as 10:00am on the day of the show.
  • Box Office & Boutique--From 90 min before show time. Help with programs, set-up, checking tickets, and sales for at-the-door tickets (space permitting), vintage Nutcrackers, and other gift items.
  • Dancer Supervision in Between Shows: Studio Staff members have a long day on with little time for the required meal break time in between shows. We need relief volunteers to help supervise any dancers who are to stay at the venue in between shows in order to provide studio staff the required staggered breaks.
  • Strike--Immediately after the 2nd show. Packing all Nutcracker items up and loading back into U-Haul. Also needed are people to meet us back at the studio to unload.
  • Raffle & Bake Sale--This has been popular in past and raised important money for the all the extra hands we hire for things production weekend. Is anyone available to bake items for the bake sale?
