Our PS 889 Dance Explorers will experiment with various styles of dance throughout the year, taking each style one unit at a time and learning choreography that dancers can perform in Dance Parade NYC (older dancers only, based on the distance required) and for local fairs. No experience needed! An extension of our camp programming, Dance Explorers will provide a wonderful introduction to dance for new dancers and complement technique classes at the studio as well. |
Sample Schedule:Dismissal - 2:50pm Snack and change into dance clothes
2:50 - 3:15pm Getting to know each dance style through film study 3:15 - 4:15pm Warm-up & Choreography 4:15 - 5:00pm Design or Improvisation and Dance Composition 5:00 - 5:15pm Wrap Meeting & Clean-up Dance Explorers Afterschool Program Flyer

Tuition:School Year Registration: $2,880 ($80/wk)
Fall Registration: $1,190 ($85/wk) Inclusive of 2 teachers and all materials for costume, prop, and set design projects. Parents should provide a snack from home.
15 spots are available for each day, 5 of which will be free, need-based spots for which families must apply. Please contact us at [email protected] for a scholarship application. You can otherwise register by semester or save with full-year registration. Monthly payment packages are available, but reflect a full financial commitment to the period for which your dancer is registered.
