Workshop Description: The Four Seasons
Rehearsals: Mondays, February 9-March 16 (with no classes Feb 16)
Performance: March 22
Make-up Week: March 23

Step into a world where music paints the sky, the weather, and the feeling of each season. Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons—and contemporary songs that echo the same seasonal moods—this performance workshop invites dancers to explore movement, storytelling, and imagination through the rhythms of nature. From bright springtime energy to winter stillness, dancers will build technique, create choreography, and bring each season to life on stage.


Ages 0–3: Toddler & Parent/Child Class — Seasons in Motion
Our youngest dancers and their grown-ups will explore the seasons through music, sensory play, and playful movement. Together, we’ll tiptoe through spring breezes, stretch into summer sunshine, swirl through autumn leaves, and shimmer through winter snow—using simple dance patterns, props, and imagination to build rhythm, coordination, and connection. Workshops run Mondays 3:30 - 4:00pm.

Ages 6–8: Dancing Through the Seasons
Dancers will begin with a ballet-based warm-up to build coordination, musicality, and expressive movement. Each class will explore a new season through choreography and creative games—dancing the lightness of spring, the boldness of summer, the richness of fall, and the sparkle of winter. Along the way, dancers will experience both Vivaldi’s iconic music and contemporary seasonal tracks, helping them connect classical storytelling to the music of today. Workshops run Mondays 4:15 - 5:00pm.

Ages 8+: 
Older dancers will warm up with a blend of ballet fundamentals and modern dance principles, strengthening technique while expanding range and artistry. From there, they’ll explore the emotional world of each season—shifting between qualities like softness and power, stillness and momentum. Using both Vivaldi and contemporary music inspired by the seasons, dancers will experiment with dynamics, pattern, and group design as they create choreography that feels both timeless and new. Workshops run Mondays 5:15 - 6:15pm.
