Every child is a dancer. At ALDEN MOVES Dance Theater, we nurture their imaginative spirits while laying a sound technical foundation that ensures that, as children advance, they will continue to enjoy the same freedom of movement they felt when they first started dancing. 

Talent comes in many forms, and where there is interest, there lies talent. Ability is the simple sum of strength, flexibility and movement mechanics. In small group classes--limited to 10 students or fewer--our dedicated faculty works with every child to develop their talents and abilities. Dancers leap ahead, one step at a time, delighting in their growing abilities and enjoying special performing opportunities like our annual Nutcracker and end-of-year show, Masters of Style.

We're giving classical traditions a contemporary make-over, one student at a time. Whether you've got an artist, an athlete, or a child with coordination or balance challenges, nuanced dance training will help them experience the joy of freedom of movement and serve as a launchpad for any movement training to come. 

And because there’s no substitute for the nuances that dancers pick up through live music, we're proud, after a pandemic hiatus, to once again be one of only 2 studios in Brooklyn that offers live piano accompaniment for ballet classes.
