SUMMER DANCE IMMERSION CAMPS
in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn

Every child is at dancer, and at ALDEN MOVES Dance Theater, every child leaps ahead one step at a time. Summer is our favorite time to delve deeper into dance styles we are familiar with and experiment with new ones. Each week, students are divided into two class sections by age and ability to make summer dance immersions accessible for new as well as experienced dancers.
Immersions feature daily dance classes and explore film, costume design, set design, and a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and modern dance. Movement mechanics grow by leaps and bounced through the nuanced technical training, and dancers love being part of the creative process as we work to put together the end-of-camp showcase for parents.
Camps are currently limited to 12 students, and our spacious studio ensures that dancers need not be kept in close quarters throughout the day. Snacks, lunch, and art classes all take place on our back patio. Indoors, we use a top-of-the-line air purifier and keep the back door open to the studio through much of the day as well. Though indoor masking is not required, we ask that students experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms take a COVID test to ensure they are negative before arriving to the studio. We have masks on hand for students who are COVID-negative but coughing.
